Omenapuutalo on tunnelmallinen tapahtumatila, jossa voi järjestää monenlaista toimintaa, kuten taidenäyttelyitä ja musiikkiharjoituksia — myös samanaikaisesti. Omenapuutalo soveltuu loistavasti myös erilaisiin juhlatilaisuuksiin!

Omenapuutalo rakennettiin uudelleen tulipalon jälkeen vuonna 1905. Vuosina 1930—2005 talossa asui sairaalan henkilökuntaa — välillä jopa kolme perhettä samaan aikaan. Nykyään Omenapuutalo on osa taiteen, kulttuurin ja mielen hyvinvoinnin keskusta.

Myös oheisohjelmaa, kuten joogaohjauksia sekä opastettuja kierroksia, järjestetään. Opastetut kierrokset voivat käsitellä sairaalan ja psykiatrian historiaa, entisiä Lapinlahden sairaalan potilaita tai sairaalan puistoa.
