Helsinki sodassa -kierroksella katsotaan, mitä sodan merkkejä Helsingissä on vielä jäljellä. Jos osaa katsoa oikeista paikoista, niin talojen kivijaloista löytyy pommien jälkiä ja katoilta hälytyssireeneitä. Kierroksella kuljetaan Helsingin keskustan pommitusten paikoilla, tutustutaan ilmatorjuntaan ja muihin tärkeisiin sotakohteisiin.

Helsingin suurpommituksissa Neuvostoliiton pommikoneilla oli vain yksi tehtävä: tuhota Helsinki. Tapahtui Helsingin ihme. Tehokkaan ilmapuolustuksen ansiosta vain 5 prosenttia pommeista putosi kaupungin alueelle. Neuvostojohtajat olivat aivan ihmeissään kun sodan päätyttyä tulivat kaupunkiin, joka olikin säilynyt ehjänä. Pommikoneet olivat tosin tuhonneet Neuvostoliiton oman lähetystön.

Kierros kestää noin 1,5 tuntia ja alkaa on Abrahaminkatu 1-5. Kierros päättyy Kaisaniemeen. Hyppää mukaan!
